Privacy Policy

Klar German · Last updated 27 September 2026

Klar German is a German course that runs entirely on your device. This policy describes what the app does with information, and the short version is: it keeps everything on your phone and sends nothing anywhere.

The app is developed and published by Adriana Yushchenko (“we”), who is the data controller for the purposes of this policy. You can reach us at contact-us@sifex-tech.com.

What we collect

Nothing. The app has no accounts, no sign-in, no servers of our own, and no analytics, advertising or tracking libraries of any kind. We do not know who uses the app, how often, or what they answer. We hold no database about you, because there is nothing for one to hold.

What the app stores on your device

All of it stays on your phone, in the app’s own storage, and is deleted when you delete the app:

Backups you make yourself

The app can write a backup file with your progress. You choose where it goes through the system’s own file picker — iCloud Drive, Files, or anywhere else your device offers. The file never leaves your device unless you put it somewhere that syncs, and it is yours: we cannot read it, and we never see it.

Reminders

If you turn on the daily reminder, it is scheduled by your device and delivered by your device. No notification is sent from a server, because there is no server.

Pronunciation

German is read aloud by the speech synthesiser built into your device. What is read is passed to the system, not to us. Whether your device does that synthesis on-device or through Apple’s services is governed by Apple’s own privacy policy and your device settings (Settings → Accessibility → Spoken Content).

Subscriptions

Subscriptions are sold by Apple through the App Store. The app asks the App Store what you own and when it expires; Apple handles the payment, and we never receive your payment details. Apple’s own privacy policy covers that part: apple.com/legal/privacy.

Network

The app works fully offline. It connects to the internet for exactly one thing: asking the App Store about your subscription. There is no other network traffic, and opening the links on the subscription screen hands them to your browser.

Children

The app is a language course and collects nothing, from anybody, at any age.

Your rights

Data-protection law gives you the right to see the personal data a company holds about you, to correct it, to have it deleted, and to take it with you. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to show, correct or delete. Everything the app knows is on your device: you can export it at any time from Settings → Progress backup, and erase it either from Settings → Start over or by deleting the app. If you would like any of this explained, write to us.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be published at this address and the date at the top will change with it.
